Executive Chef Anthony Wells is taking the city’s restaurant scene to new heights with a menu capturing the bounty of coastal California.

Chef Wells comes to Hotel La Jolla from San Diego’s acclaimed Juniper & Ivy restaurant. Handpicked as part of the culinary team by owner and Top Chef: All Stars winner, Richard Blais, he spent nine years at the award-winning restaurant, starting as chef de cuisine in 2014, prior to being promoted to executive chef a year later.

During his tenure, Chef Wells made an indelible mark on the neighborhood’s dining scene, drawing countless accolades including a MICHELIN Guide California Bib Gourmand award, and James Beard nomination for Best Chef, California in 2022.
